As you walk down Barcelona's streets, you'll notice that each corner has something for every kind of art enthusiast whether you have a thing for graffiti, a passion for architecture or you enjoy collecting street art from every city you visit.
One of the works not to miss is El Cap de Barcelona (which literally translates as The Head of Barcelona) by one of my absolute favourite American Pop artists, Roy Lichtenstein for the 1992 Summer Olympics that were held in the city.

Standing tall on the waterfront, this striking piece clearly resembling a lady's face, pays homage to Antoni GaudÃ's use of ceramics in his architecture.
Quirky little bars are dotted around the city, each with their own individual character and taste in music blasting from within.
Both the waterfront and port shouldn't be missed either, with wonderfully tall palm trees, unique installations and dozens of boats ready to set sail.

And the crowning glory would have to be Barcelona's 197ft tall monument of Christopher Columbus pointing out to sea, constructed in honour of his first voyage to the Americas.
And best of all...he occasionally dons a Barcelona FC jersey. I hear he's their number 1 fan!

Hope you're having a fabulous bank holiday!
